Alpha & Omega

Part Twelve: Sold Out by the Flesh

____________

17.

The history of humanity, especially the secular history of who ruled when and what war was fought where that is taught in history classes, functions for Western civilization as hydration rind does on desert stones: history doesn’t tell endtime humanity much about itself other than how long we have been exposed to the sun. If we hope to know more, we have to delve not into micro-biology or evolutionary philosophy, but into theology, taking to theology what can or should be known from other academic disciplines, notably textual studies. It seems reasonable that if the intellectual basis for belief, aka faith [pistis] is a text—the Bible—than the Believer ought to know what is actually in the text, not what other human persons have said about the text. The Believer ought to have read the text for him or herself, and read when the person was awake; read and remembered details, story lines, sequences; read and compared passage with passage; read and have seen patterns emerge; read and held in quarantine passages that contradict each other (and passages do contradict each other). The Bible is a large book, too large to be read in one sitting, but not so large that it cannot be read in two weeks, a small enough period of time that a person can hold in his or her short term memory the color of the robe Roman soldiers placed on Jesus when they mocked Him, or remember Abram/Abraham’s two journeys of faith, one as Abram from Ur of the Chaldeans and the other as Abraham to the land of Moriah, with Mount Moriah identified in 2 Chronicles 3:1 as Jerusalem. A person should be able to hold in his or her short term memory the juxtaposition that has Paul identifying Jesus as the last Abraham (e.g., Gal 3:29), so that in the same geographical place where the Lord provided a ram so that Abraham need not sacrifice Isaac, God provided His Lamb so that the last Abraham need not sacrifice Israel, with the ram provided serving as a shadow and type of Christ Jesus, who was sacrificed so disciples might live.

Jesus is both the sacrificed Lamb of God as well as the last Abraham, the Abraham whose seed (singular) is/are the Son/sons of Promise, with everyone in whom Christ Jesus dwells forming the Body of Christ and thus being Christ, one entity consisting of an exposed Head [Jesus the Nazarene] and a covered [by grace] Body, with grace or the righteousness of Christ Jesus serving as modest apparel … both the uncovered Head and the covered Body are Christ; are the firstborn sons of God, with the Head being the First of these firstborn sons.

What is singular is plural: the firstborn Son/son of God consists of all human persons, beginning with Christ Jesus, who receive a second breath of life prior to the great White Throne Judgment … as the singular fruit of the spirit (Gal 5:22–23) has nine facets, with this singular fruit coming through receipt of a second breath of life, the breath of God in the breath of Christ, both being Holy Spirits [both being pneuma ’agion] that together serve as a single second breath of life, with this single second breath of life [pneuma Theou] uniting with the spirit [pneuma] of man.

Prior to when the inner self of a human person is raised from death through receipt of a second breath of life, the inner self can be likened to the mud corpse of the first Adam prior to when Elohim [singular in usage] breathed into the nostrils of this first Adam and he became a nephesh, a breathing creature. The first Adam forms the spiritually lifeless shadow and type of the last Adam, a living human person before the breath of God [pneuma Theou] descended in the bodily form of a dove and entered into the man Jesus … again, for pedagogical redundancy, Elohim breathing the breath of physical life into the nostrils of the first Adam forms the spiritually lifeless shadow of God breathing spiritual life, the Holy Spirit [again, pneuma ’agion], into the heart of the man Jesus the Nazarene. And as the physical breath of life a human person inherits from the first Adam causes the person to involuntarily breathe and thus live physically, receipt of the Holy Spirit causes a person to involuntarily believe God and keep by faith the commandments of God, thereby living spiritually and setting off a war between the person’s inner self and outer self, with the inner self being not only free to keep the commandments but feeling compelled to do so, while the disciple’s outer self remains consigned to disobedience and death. And it is about this war that Paul wrote when he said,

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. (Rom 7:14–23)

Inner self versus outer self—the disciple’s inner self that is born of God and is a firstborn son of God desires to do what is right; delights in the Law of God and truly wants to keep the commandments of God; but before this inner self can put into practice those things that are pleasing to God, the inner self must strive-with and overcome the outer self, the fleshly body of the person. And until the inner self has overcome the outer self, the son of God (every living inner self is a son of God, regardless of the gender, ethnicity, or social status of the outer self) will find that the fleshly house in which he dwells does things that this son of God absolutely detests; does things not because of the weakness of the flesh but because of the strength of the flesh, because of how powerful are hormonally driven thoughts or epigenetic expressions of mood, character, personality.

The man who remains seated when an airline stewardess is attacked, or who remains seated when a city bus driver is attacked might well want to intervene but who doesn’t for whatever reasons is a victim of ancestral cowardice or bullying etched onto his DNA code through methylation—and I know that men will remain seated when it is their responsibility to intervene for I was at the very back of a Fairbanks city bus when its driver was attacked, and I waited for a moment before venturing forward to intervene. I waited until the bus was headed into the ditch, and I passed twenty or more men before reaching the front where I stepped between the bus driver and his attacker. And that’s all it took to turn a potential nightly news feature story into a non-event.

As an aside, the driver radioed dispatch as his attacker and I stood there, my presence preventing the attacker from doing more than uttering obscenities. Police were waiting for the man at the next stop, and he continued his belligerence by attacking three police officers, who wrestled him to the ground and handcuffed him.

In the case of the stewardess, I was five rows back when the stewardess was attacked and being choked, and I was truly surprised when the nearest fellows did nothing … the stewardess’ attacker went limp as soon as I locked my hands on the attacker’s wrists. The incident became a non-event, with the captain talking to the drunk attacker who remained seated the rest of the way to Portland, where the person was quietly removed from the plane by police.

What would cause a man not to intervene when his own welfare is in jeopardy? An off-duty stewardess reacted far quicker than I did when the stewardess was attacked … she simply wasn’t large enough to discourage the drunk attacker. Apparently I was. But there were at least four men on aisle seats much closer to the incident than I was. One or all of them should have responded to the stewardess’ cry for help.

I write not from memories of how quickly I reacted, but from how slow I was in responding. I sat for longer than I should have. I waited for someone else to take care of the situations. Others were much closer. I wasn’t the logical person to intervene. Someone else should have. However, when no closer man rose from his seat, I felt I was without option. If I didn’t do something, it appeared that nothing good was going to happen … delusional reasoning? What if the attack on the bus driver had continued? While the attacker continually asked if I wanted to die, everyone sat silently except for one woman in a near seat, to whom the attacker turned and threatened. She had the courage to intervene, but not the ability. Apparently those who had the ability lacked the courage, and this was in Fairbanks, Alaska, in spring 1989.

There have been numerous incidents that have made national news where someone was attacked and no one intervened when assistance could have been rendered, and should have been. It is as if epigenetic experiences have stolen America’s national courage, leaving business traveler and tourist placing his personal safety ahead of the safety of others. It is as if intervention is for others. It is as if America has become a nation of mostly cowards. But it isn’t better to live on your knees than die on your feet. Evil must be resisted—and every transgression of the Law is evil manifested, even when this does not seem to be the case such as the Christian transgressing the Sabbath and attempting to enter into God’s presence the following day.

The prophet Isaiah wrote of the people of the Lord,

My people—infants are their oppressors,

and women rule over them.

O my people, your guides mislead you

and they have swallowed up the course of your paths. (Isa 3:12)

Isaiah wrote in thought-couplets, with the physical preceding the spiritual, with the first couplet (consisting of a physical then a spiritual presentation of who holds dominion over the people of God) forming the physical presentation of the concept of false leadership … has the ongoing emasculation of American men produced a culture afraid to keep the commandments of God, afraid to stand and say, No, we will not kill unborn infants; No, we will not labor on the Sabbaths of God; No, we will not have any other God before the Lord; No, we will not bear false witness for you, Mr. President. We will tell the people the truth. We will tell the people what has been forgotten, for we still remember what it was like before children became our oppressors.

But, question, what is inherently wrong with women ruling over the people of God? What is wrong with the fleshly body ruling over the inner self of a person, with this inner self being the son of God? for the woman represents the flesh in the typology of Scripture.

The Apostle Paul wrote,

So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:24–28)

For as many as are baptized into Christ because the person has truly been born of God, with baptism following birth, not preceding birth for disciples of Christ Jesus as opposed to Jesus Himself who was without sin and who was humanly born as the unique Son of the Logos who was God and who was with the God in primacy (John 3:1, 14)—disciples must be born of God to be as Jesus was prior to when Jesus was baptized; disciples must be living without sin prior to their baptism (their sins covered by Christ’s righteousness)—to repeat, for as many as are baptized into Christ, there is neither male nor female: all are sons of God, younger siblings of Christ Jesus (Rom 8:29); all are one in Christ, the Body of Christ Jesus. And the Body is not to rule the Head. Disciples are not (and genuine disciples would not even think-to) tell Christ Jesus what day they will appear before Him, or that they are not going to take the Passover sacraments on the Passover, or that they will keep the Jews’ Passover rather than the Passover of God.

Every change made to Christianity since 31 CE comes from disciples attempting to rule over their Head, with this rule being justified by Jesus saying in Matthew’s Gospel,

Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matt 16:17–19)

Peter’s father wasn’t Jonah [Bariova], but John [’Ioánn] … in identifying Peter as the son of Jonah, Jesus moved aspiration from in front of the nasal consonant [n] as is seen in the name <John> to behind the nasal consonant as seen in <Jonah>; thus when Jesus spoke to Peter in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus gives to Peter already received spiritual life, which Peter will not receive until after Jesus is raised from death by the Father (see John 20:22). This is, however, consistent with the glorified Jesus telling His disciples that to Him was given all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt 28:18), an event that has not yet occurred and won’t occur until the single kingdom of this world is taken from the Adversary and given to the Son of Man halfway through the seven endtime years of tribulation.

From the perspective of humanity, Matthew’s chronology doesn’t work, unless Matthew’s Christ is the indwelling glorified Jesus.

Now consider what Matthew’s Jesus says to Peter after telling Peter that with the movement of breath from outer self to inner self [from Petros to petra] the keys of the kingdom of the heavens [plural in Greek] will be given to the ecclesia: “‘Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man’” (Matt 16:23).

In thinking of Jesus’ physical welfare, Peter was Satan! In Peter individually and the disciples collectively forming the Body of Christ (see 1 Cor 12:27), Peter was to Christ as the fleshly body is to the born-of-spirit inner self of a disciple. Peter was to Christ as Eve was to the first Adam. And the importance of what the author of Matthew’s Gospel writes is in understanding that the Woman [the last Eve] is not to rule over Her Husband; that unlike the first Adam who passively ate forbidden fruit when Eve offered this fruit to her husband, the last Adam rebuked the Woman, identifying the Woman (embodied in Peter) as the Adversary.

Why did many men remain seated when the bus driver was attacked? Were they ruled by the fears of their fleshly bodies? Apparently so. Thus, theologically, they were ruled by their flesh; by the first Eve; by women—and too many of them are oppressed by spiritual infants, uncircumcised bastards who claim God as their Father but who are really the offspring of the Adversary … Paul wrote,

I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your [the saints at Corinth] thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. Indeed, I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles. Even if I am unskilled in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; indeed, in every way we have made this plain to you in all things. Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God's gospel to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you. And when I was with you and was in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. (2 Cor 11:3–15 emphasis added)

No one not drawn by the Father from this world can come to Christ Jesus (John 6:44); thus, the Christian who desires to serve God but who has not yet been drawn by the Father inevitably serves a different Christ through possession of a different spirit, a different reality, than the Christian truly born of spirit. The Apostle Paul saw this happening, but he wasn’t inclined to declare the holy ones at Corinth spiritual bastards. Instead, he identified them as infants, babes: “‘I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh’” (1 Cor 3:1–3).

If the holy ones at Corinth to whom Paul wrote were not spiritual people, what exactly were they when Paul also wrote,

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? (1 Cor 4:1–7)

These not-spiritual-people in Corinth were judging Paul, challenging Paul, apparently claiming what Paul declared to them wasn’t necessarily true. They seemed to come to “truth” apart from what Paul taught, truth like that which endtime Sacred Names Heretics claim to have discovered, truth that goes far beyond what they received from Paul who laid the foundation for the Church (1 Cor 3:10–11), this foundation being Christ Jesus … to go beyond the foundation that is Christ will have the person accepting another Jesus other than the Jesus born as the unique Son of the Logos; will have the saints at Corinth still doing when Paul wrote a second corrective letter to them what they were doing when Paul wrote his first letter.

John in vision records,

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." And He who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also He said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." And He said to me, "It is done [They, these words, have come to pass]! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be [to him] God [no definite article] and he will be [to me] son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." (Rev 21:1–8 double emphasis added)

A coward equates to a murderer; for the flesh of the coward suppresses the inner self, a situation that should not occur once the third part of humankind is filled with the spirit [breath] of God when the kingdom of this world is taken from the Adversary and given to the Son of Man halfway through the seven endtime years of tribulation. The fleshly body of the coward is not and can never be a son of God. It is the inner self that conquers disobedience, that is made alive through receipt of the breath of God the Father. The fleshly body will be no more with the coming of a new heaven and a new earth; for the fleshly body is of this present heaven and earth. Cowardice is of the fleshly body. Sexual immorality is of the fleshly body. Lying is of the fleshly body; for the inner self of every liar knows whether or not what the person has said to others is or isn’t true. The habitual liar—the con-man, the prostitute, the politician—knows whether he or she uses words to confuse; to conceal knowledge, conceal memories; to intentionally deceive the one to whom the liar speaks … when the national Attorney General can repeatedly lie to Congress, earning himself the charge of Contempt of Congress, then logically, the Attorney General serves the Adversary.

Lying is a manifestation of cowardice, as is remaining seated when the endangered cry for help. However, until the single kingdom of this world is given to the Son of Man halfway through the seven endtime years of tribulation, all authority in this world will be funneled through the Adversary regardless of where the authority originates. So attempts to fix national governments prior to when the kingdom of this world is given to the Son of Man will be giving aid and comfort to the Adversary … to pray for spiritual Babylon will be to pray for Christ’s return as King of kings and Lord or lords: the “fix” for disobedience is obedience. The cure for what’s wrong in this world is the fall of spiritual Babylon and the imprisonment of the Adversary in the Abyss.

Those men who remained seated as the city bus crossed three lanes of traffic were not inherently evil, or even weak. They didn’t want to involve themselves in a situation that might take care of itself. They didn’t want to look like fools, rushing in where they were not needed. However, by the time I got from the very back of the bus to the front, the bus was on the shoulder of the road and headed for a deep ditch … would the fellow attacking the driver have backed off if the bus went farther off the road and over the bank? No, he wouldn’t have: he was hearing voices, and one voice was talking to another. When I reached the front of the bus, he turned to face me and I stepped around him instead of attacking him as he apparently expected me to do—by stepping around him, I inserted myself between him and the driver, giving the driver the moment he needed to regain control of the bus.

Once I was between the attacker and the driver, the voices began arguing with one another as if they weren’t sure of what to do.

There should be a Fairbanks City Police report of the incident. I personally know one witness if someone doubts what I write … again, I write not because I got up from my seat but because I wanted to remain seated; I wanted someone closer to the front of the bus to handle the problem. I didn’t want to get involved. I would just as soon have remained seated. I would just as soon not write about the Second Passover liberation of Israel and the sudden death of uncovered firstborns; however, if I don’t, who will?

Women shall rule over my people—the emasculation of the American male is well underway, again with the physical revealing the spiritual and the methylation of DNA codes being transcribed generationally.
